Colin Still

Counsel

Stouffville Family, Estates & Criminal Defence Lawyer

Following a previous career as a television producer-director, Colin was called to the bar in 1982, and since then has practised in all facets of litigation: matrimonial, civil, criminal and estates. Colin practised in Newmarket as a partner in an all services law firm, until February 1989, when he founded Still McCalmont Long where he practiced until 2015.

Colin has 27 years experience in the litigation trenches. Cases that he has argued have been extensively reported, including the trial Rawluk v. Rawluk, a groundbreaking family law decision, and Gomez v. McHale, a notable appeals case.

However, his approach to litigation is conciliatory. “There are no winners in litigation. Use it as a last resort. It is in everyone’s interest to resolve matters quickly, inexpensively, and with the least amount of rancour possible.”

But if matters cannot be resolved, Colin will be your experienced and determined advocate in the court process.
