Romaana is the founding Managing Partner of Shariff & Associates, established in 2015. She works exclusively with clients who are dealing with divorce, separation and other family issues as well as the preparation of wills and powers of attorney. She helps clients to resolve their differences through settlement, mediation, the collaborative law process and when necessary, litigation. Romaana has a broad family law practice with experience in all matters of divorce and separation, including custody and access, child and spousal support, property division, child protection, collaborative family law and litigation and alternative dispute resolution/mediation. Romaana is a personable and solution-oriented lawyer who believes in fostering a positive solicitor-client relationship and working to achieve the best possible outcomes for her clients. Romaana provides sound legal advice while simultaneously keeping the focus on her client’s interests.
Romaana obtained a B.A. with Honours in Political Studies and Development Studies from Queen’s University. Her desire to live in Europe took her abroad to study law at Queen Mary, University of London, where she received her Bachelor of Laws (Honours). Romaana articled at a prominent Markham law firm until 2013 when she was called to the bar and then continued as an associate.
Romaana is a member of the Law Society of Ontario, Ontario Bar Association, the York Region Law Association, the Family Lawyers Association and York Collaborative Family Group. In her spare time, she loves to travel the world and spend time with family and friends.
